Varanasi (UP) – After a week of archaeological survey of Gyanvapi, one of the Muslim parties to the case, viz. Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee (AIMC) has filed a fresh application before the District Court. AIMC has claimed that as per the Court’s order dated 21st July 2023, all the expenses of the Archaeology Survey of India related to conducting the survey were to be borne by the Hindu parties, and it accused Hindu parties of not making the payment, and therefore, AIMC has appealed that the work be stopped. The Hindu parties have been given time until 17th August 2023 to present theircase. AIMC has also objected to the way of working of the officers of the Archaeology Survey of India. AIMC has complained that the officers start work at any time and there is no time limit specified to carry out their work. AIMC has demanded that the Court give orders even for the procedure of work to be followed by the officers. This has been given as another reason to stop the survey.
