New Delhi – Hassan Nasrallah, chief of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah in Lebanon, has made a provocative statement regarding the burning of the Quran in Sweden and Denmark. He said, ‘If Islamic countries do not take action against those who allow the denigration of the Quran, then Muslims should attack and punish those who denigrate it’. The incidents of the burning of the Quran in Sweden and Denmark have been condemned by many Islamic countries.

In a TV programme, Hassan Nasrallah said that Sweden and Denmark should realise that our country will not tolerate the denigration of the Quran. We are waiting for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) stand on the desecration of the Quran. If this organisation fails to take a stance, we will think that they are not fit to protect our religion. Islamic countries and their foreign ministers should take action on the ongoing attacks on Islam in Sweden and Denmark. Also, a clear message should be given to these countries that if there are any further attacks on Islam, they will be met with economic boycotts. If the Islamic countries will not do this, then the brave young Muslims of the world must prepare themselves to punish those who defy Islam.
