Announcement by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav

Chennai – Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that colour of Vande Bharat Express will be changed to saffron instead of blue. He said that this decision is inspired by the Indian national flag. Apart from this, 25 minor improvements have also been done in Vande Bharat Express for convenience.
At present, 25 Vande Bharat Express rakes are operational across the country, 2 rakes are reserved, while the 28th rake has been given saffron color on a trial basis. This train is currently stationed at ‘Integral Coach Factory’ in Chennai. Railway Minister Vaishnav inspected the factory on 8th July. It is in this factory that ‘Make in India’ Vande Bharat trains are produced.
