Ramnath Temple – Various states in India have enacted anti-cow slaughter laws. They have so many flaws that it is a mockery of Hindus. When one state has a law against cow slaughter, if the neighboring state does not have a cow slaughter law, traders cross the state border to slaughter cattle. Therefore, the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act should be made at the national level rather than at the state level. It requires will power. Therefore, on the day India becomes a Hindu Rashtra, cow slaughter will be completely stopped in this nation, asserted Adv. (Mrs) Siddha Vidya, of the Bombay High Court. She was addressing the audience on Day 3 (18.6.2023) of the Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav.
While speaking on the issue of Flawed Cow Protection Laws, she said, “No one would have dreamt that in a country where Gopuja is a faith, one day we will have to fight to ban cow slaughter. There are various loopholes in the prevention of cow slaughter laws of different states. Traders take advantage of it. In some places the killing of bulls and buffaloes was allowed. As there is no system to identify the meat of these animals and the cow, beef is traded under the label of bulls and buffaloes. In some places the slaughter of unfit cattle is allowed. So the cow slaughterers torture the cows to maim them and obtain a certificate. Ban on cow slaughter must be included in the fundamental rights of the Constitution.”
