Indore (MP) – Hindu Rashtra will do no good for India, we need Ram Rajya, said Swami Avimukteshwaranand, Shankaracharya of the Jyotish Peeth, while speaking to the journalists at Chhindwara.
The demand for a Hindu Rashtra is due to dissatisfaction from the secular state
Shankaracharya further said, ‘People are dissatisfied with the secular state and this could be the primary reason for demand of a Hindu Rashtra; but if Hindu Rashtra is established, people from other religions would feel alienated. Current politics of polarisation is a problem. A line is drawn and people are divided on both sides of the line. People on their side are good even if they are actually bad and those not on their side are bad even if they are actually good. We have set up this kind of politics. In reality, politics is a very high level wor, as high as the word ‘Dharma’. Politics means ‘policies followed by a king’. The word was used in Ramayan and Mahabharat. But today’s politics is very different from that politics.
