Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Congress won the Karnataka Assembly elections with a clear majority. BJP suffered a humiliating defeat. After the voting on 10th May, counting was done on 13th May. Congress has won 136 seats and the BJP just got in 65 seats out of 224 total seats. Congress got 55 more seats as compared to the previous election, and the BJP lost 39 seats. 113 seats are required for a majority.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah or DK Shivakumar ?

Speculations have started now on who will be the Chief Minister of the State due to the majority win of Congress. Siddaramaiah already held the Chief Minister position it is being said that he will be made the Chief Minister while DK Shivakumar will make the Deputy Chief Minister.

We will make a comeback in the Lok Sabha elections

Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader Basavraj Bommai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP activists made a lot of efforts. Yet, we could not reach the expected target in the elections. Taking a lesson from this result, we will surely make a comeback in the Lok Sabha elections.
