Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demands strict action against the culprits

Hampi (Karnataka) – An outrageous incident has come to light where Muslims consumed meat in the premises of the Anjaneya Swamy (Hanuman) Temple in the world-famous ancient city of Hampi in Vijayanagara District. Mr Mohan Gowda (Spokesperson, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Karnataka) has tweeted a video of this incident. It has been widely circulated on social media and thousands of Hindus are expressing outrage against the incident.

Mr Gowda said, “It is shocking to consume meat in a place where meat is prohibited”. He also demanded the Vijayanagara District Police and Archaeological Survey of India through a tweet, “Legal action should be taken against the culprits related to this incident and the entry of non-Hindus into Hindu temples should be banned.”

Descendant of the Vijayanagara empire Shri Krishna Devaraya condemns the incident

Shri Krishna Devaraya, the original descendant of the Vijayanagara Empire, has condemned the incident in a tweet. He has also demanded that the sanctity of Hampi should be maintained and action should be taken against the culprits.
