New Delhi – Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case against BBC India under ‘Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)’ regarding irregularities in foreign funding. It was registered two weeks ago and till now, ED has conducted an inquiry into six staff members of BBC India, including a director. ED is also investigating BBC India’s violating foreign direct investment (FDI) rules. Earlier, Income Tax Department had conducted surveys at BBC’s Delhi and Mumbai offices.
