Agra (UP) – Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya has made a statement in a religious programme in which he said that ‘revenge will be taken for the atrocities committed on Rambhakts (devotees of Shriram) in 1990’. ‘I am not harming any harmony. I say openly that anyone who wants to stay in India should say Vande Mataram’, he added. In 1990, the Mulayam Singh Yadav Government ordered firing on the Karsevaks who went to Ayodhya from all over the country during the Karseva organised for the liberation of Shriram Janmabhoomi. A large number of Karsevaks were killed in it. Their bodies were thrown into the Sharayu river.

Swami Rambhadracharya further said that now there will be no more pleas, but there will be a fight and a fierce battle. We have not forgotten and will not forget the atrocities of 1990. We have not defied anyone’s scriptures, but our scriptures were denigrated. Hindutva was insulted. Unarmed Rambhakts were shot at. Sharayu river turned red. I was arrested and beaten up at that time when I was blind. I had a broken arm. We do not want such harmony. We were made to hear ‘Mile Mulayam Kashiram, Hawa mein ud gaye Jai Shriram’, but we didn’t say anything. Why do you feel sad when we now say ‘Mare Mulayam-Kashiram, Prem se Bolo Jai Shriram’ ?
