Effect of staying in prisons for too long !
The report said that due to the prolonged detention of detainees in jails pending trial, the trial is also taking a long time to complete. This not only increases the administrative work but also increases the expenditure (expense) incurred on each prisoner. This burden falls on the Government’s treasury.
Editorial Viewpoint
Arresting the accused and keeping the trial pending against them is an injustice to both the accused and the complainant. Government must take immediate efforts to change this situation ! |
