The differentiation of terrorism as good or bad is wrong !

India criticises Pakistan

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj

New York –  India again criticised Pakistan in the United Nations. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj was speaking at the First Reading of the Draft Resolution on the 8th Review of the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (GCTS).  Terrorists are terrorists. There is no such thing as a good terrorist and a bad terrorist. It is an extremely dangerous tendency of categorising terrorism based on the motivation behind terrorist acts. This will affect the worldwide expedition against terrorism.

She asserted that all kinds of terror attacks, whether motivated by Islamophobia, anti-Sikh, anti-Buddhist or anti-Hindu prejudices, are condemnable. The international community needs to stand guard against new terminologies and false priorities that can dilute its focus on combatting the scourge of terrorism. She also asserted that States that provide shelter to terrorists should be called out and held accountable for their deeds, a veiled reference to Pakistan. They must be held accountable for their acts.
