Mumbai – The NIA has alerted the Police of Indore and Mumbai that a man named Sarfaraz Memon, is in Mumbai. He is “dangerous” to India. He has been trained in Pakistan, China, and Hong Kong. He was originally a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. NIA has also shared the identification details of the person that includes—Aadhaar card, driving license and passport over email to Mumbai Police. An alert has been issued in other cities of Maharashtra.

Earlier this month the NIA received a mail from an unidentified individual who claimed to be a Talibani member threatening to carry out a terror attack in Mumbai. He said that he was doing this under the direction of the Taliban leader Sirajuddin Haqqani. The Mumbai Police and the NIA are jointly investigating the matter.
