Raids at 60 locations by NIA in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka : Coimbatore Bomb blast case

Raids at people’s places connected with Islamic State

New Delhi – Indian Investigation Agency NIA raided 60 locations in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka with regard to the bomb blast at Coimbatore in a four-wheeler. These raids were carried out at places of individuals who were suspected to be connected with Islamic State.

In Karnataka, raids were carried out at 45 places. A bomb blast had taken place in a four-wheeler on 23rd October 2022 near Sangameshwar Temple in Coimbatore in which the owner of the car, Jemisha Mubin had got killed. Police have arrested 5 persons associated with this case namely Mohammad Thalka, Mohammad Asaruddin, Mohammad Riaz, Firoz Ismail and Mohammad Nawaz.
