Naxals have support of political parties : Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati

Citizens will feel that such a situation has led to an abysmal defeat of Democracy !

Kawardha (Chhattisgarh) – “Naxals across the country have the support of political parties. Naxals have been given political shelter by political parties”, stated Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati of Govardhan Puri Peetha while talking to reporters during the ‘Dharma Sansad’ organised here. He further said, “How many Naxals will be left in the country if the ruling and opposition parties stop supporting them ? Naxalism will be eliminated without such support. All political parties are nurturing them”.

Congress minister supports Shankaracharya’s statement

Congress’ Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey supported the statement of Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati on Naxalism. While talking to reporters he said that Shankaracharya is the Chief Seer of Sanatan Dharma. We have to respect his statement. There are different reasons for Naxal activities thriving in different regions. A meeting used to be held earlier of all the States, to solve this problem. After Congress came to power in Chhattisgarh, Naxal activities are limited to certain areas. Naxalism is on the verge of elimination in Chhattisgarh but in Bihar, Jharkhand, etc., Naxal activities are still going on. I don’t want to talk about the political situation in those States. Naxalism can, however, be eliminated with the cooperation of all political parties. Congress-led Bhupendra Baghel’s Government has contained Naxal activities in the last 4 years in Bastar District. (If there is no Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, why was a BJP leader killed there ? Congressmen are trying to blow their own trumpet by politicising Shankaracharya ji’s statement ! – Editor)

Minister Choubey said BJP ruled Chhattisgarh for 15 years under Dr Raman Singh, but why were Naxal activities not stopped ? In Bastar, Naxals were running a parallel Government during BJP’s rule. (When the Congress ruled the country, why did they not try to eradicate Naxalism from India ? Choubey should answer this question too. – Editor)
