‘I am not against Hinduism but I oppose Manuvad’ : Congress leader Siddaramaiah

Congress leader Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – “Hindutva & Hindu dharma are different. I’m not against Hindu religion. I’m a Hindu but oppose Manuvad & Hindutva,” stated the leader of the Congress and the leader of the opposition in the state, Siddaramaiah. He expressed the above sentiments after he was recently criticised for making offensive statements about Hinduism.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Has Siddaramaiah ever studied Manusmriti ? In case he has, then he would not have made such a statement ! It is important to note that it is incredibly wrong to make such anti-Hindu statements about great Hindu scriptures just to get some dalit votes.
  • Siddaramaiah will never speak about the book which is responsible for terrorism, but since Hindus are tolerant he openly speaks about their scriptures in spite of having no knowledge about it.
