Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai’s statement in the legislative assembly
Belagavi (Karnataka) – The Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute was discussed in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in which Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in the Legislative Session of Karnataka State stated, the stand taken by the previous Government and our stand on state borders, water and languages is clear. “I’m the last person to do such a thing on matters concerning the interest of the State. I will not go back an inch from it, which is the same as the one taken by the Governments that have ruled this State so far”, he added. He also suggested that a unanimous resolution should be passed in both the Houses of the Karnataka Legislature to clarify the stand of the Karnataka Government on border issues. The Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute was discussed in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. CM Bommai suggested that the Karnataka Legislature will pass a resolution on border issues. Members of all political parties, including Karnataka Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah, supported the proposal put forward by Bommai. Siddaramaiah said that there is no question of any dispute in this matter.
