Spurious liquor was found to be produced from liquor seized by the Police

A new piece of information has emerged regarding Chhapra’s spurious liquor. It is suspected that this spurious liquor was made from the liquor seized by the Police. It is being claimed that the Police provided this liquor to them. As proof of this, the villagers have provided the video to the Excise Department Chief Secretary K K Pathak.

Following the complaint, the Chief Secretary took action and sent Joint Commissioner Krishna Paswan and Deputy Secretary Niranjan Kumar for an inquiry. They saw that liquor was missing from the seized liquor bottles. A further investigation is being conducted into this matter. On the other hand, 150 people have been arrested so far in the case of spurious liquor.

Editorial viewpoint

The prudent decision by Nitish Kumar. How come liquor is available in a State where liquor has been banned for the last 6 years ? Why is the Government failing ? Government should also state what action it will take from now on to stop this ?
