Suspected of passing on confidential information to Pakistan
(‘Honeytrap’ refers to luring men into a love trap and using them. Often used for anti-national activities.)

New Delhi – A driver working in the Ministry of External Affairs was recently arrested by the Delhi Police from Jawaharlal Nehru Bhavan for allegedly passing confidential information related to national security to a person in Pakistan. The person to whom he was passing this information was deceiving him by posing as Poonam Sharma or Pooja. It is reported that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is behind this.

Sources of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police said that this driver was honey-trapped. The driver was sending sensitive documents related to national security to an official in Pakistan in exchange for money.
