New Delhi – Hardeep Singh Puri, Petroleum Minister informed on 17th November that domestic LPG cylinders will be issued with a ‘QR code’. The exact location of the gas cylinder will be located due to the QR code; hence that will help in curbing their theft.

Hardeep Singh said further that the code would be put on new and old cylinders as well. When it becomes active, it would help them in locating the cylinder’s exact location. Management of supplying gas cylinders would also be easy.

According to the news published in an English periodical, 20,000 cylinders were ready with a QR code. In the next months, cylinders weighing 14.2 kg would have QR codes on them.
