Corrupt people are destroying for the country : Supreme Court

New Delhi – ‘Corrupt people are destroying the country. You should see what is going on in every Government office. Who is taking action against them ? We have seen the video of elected representatives being bought. Do you (addressing Additional Solicitor General SV Raju) mean that it is all right and not against the country ? No strict action is taken by the administration against such people, so they continue with their corrupt practices. This is the root of corruption’, the Supreme Court observed. A few days ago, a video had gone viral on crores of Rupees being given to poach the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLAs in Telangana. Referring to this video, the Supreme Court expressed its opinion.

SC was hearing the trial of Gautam Navlakha, an accused in the Elgar Parishad and Bhima-Koregaon violence case. At that time, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju said that people like Navlakha are destroying the country. On this, the Supreme Court made the abovementioned statements.
