Moscow (Russia) – The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has warned that a direct clash or conflict between the NATO soldiers and the Russian army in any event can cause a great disaster in the world. Putin made the comments at a news conference at the end of a summit in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. ‘I hope that those who are talking about conflict with Russia are smart enough not to take such a step’, Putin added.
Last month, Putin warned of using nuclear weapons to defend Russia’s territory after it took control of four regions of Ukraine. Putin’s stance was condemned by the United Nations.

The G-7 countries have said in a statement that Russia’s irresponsible stance threatens world peace and security. If Russia uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine, it will face serious consequences. G-7 countries include England, Germany, Italy, Canada, USA, France and Japan.
US President Joe Biden has said that the threat of nuclear war has arisen for the first time in the world after the Cold War and Putin’s statement about nuclear weapons should be taken seriously. This is the first time since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis that a world war-like situation is likely to emerge.
