Terrorists disguised as maulvis in Assam ! – Assam DGP

Guwahati (Assam) – Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, the Director-General of Police (DGP) of Assam has stated that terrorists were hiding in the State under the guise of maulvis, and they were involved in anti-national activities. He met chiefs of various Islamic organisations, appealing to them to help in exposing such terrorists. (On taking action against Islamic organisations helping jihadi terrorists, other organisations will come forward to help the police. – Editor)

Some of the terrorists associated with a terrorist organisation named ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team’ have been arrested. In all, 38 persons have been taken into custody. These terrorists were working as imams or maulvis in different mosques in Assam. In this background, DGP Mahanta has made the above appeal.
