BJP leaders taken into custody

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) – BJP held a protest demanding to rename the ‘Jinnah Tower Centre’ at Guntur after former President and scientist APJ Kalam after which the Police took the BJP leaders into custody. BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Narasimha Rao tweeted, “are we in Andhra Pradesh or Pakistan?”. BJP State president Somu Veerraju said that only our party is demanding the change of name.
Several BJP leaders, including its national secretary Sunil Deodhar & workers, were taken into police custody when they sought to march to the Jinnah Tower Centre in Guntur demanding that it be renamed after ex-President APJ Abdul Kalam
