ABVP and RSS demand resignation of the Dean

Vadodara (Gujarat) – In an annual painting exhibition of Fine Arts faculty at Maharaja Sayajirao University, some students had displayed objectionable portraits of Hindu Deities which has sparked outrage. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have demanded the resignation of the Dean in this regard.

These paintings show Hindu Deities and some national symbols being linked to incidents of rape. Newspaper paper cut-outs were used to make pictures of Deities. Most of the paper cut-outs that were used contained reports of rape.
