Muslim Govt employees granted permission in the month of Ramazan to leave one hour early

YSR Govt of Andhra Pradesh’s decision is biased and a betrayal of the Public

Editorial comment

  • Public money is used to pay the salaries of Government officials. If the Muslim employees are going to work one hour less for the whole month, then the Government should cut that money from their salaries.
  • Hindus are not given holidays on festivals like Shri Ram Navmi, Hanuman Jayanti, etc. Would the Andhra Pradesh Government give similar instructions at that time ?

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) – Andhra Pradesh’s YS Jagmohan Reddy has instructed that during the month of Ramazan, all Muslim employees, teachers and contractors may go home an hour early.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s Government a few days earlier had made a similar announcement in Delhi, but later withdrew it.
