The Taliban announces ban on poppy production in Afghanistan

Kabul (Afghanistan) – The Taliban Government in Afghanistan has banned the production of poppy seeds/opium. The opium produced here is exported all over the world. The production of opium starts all over Afghanistan around this time of the year.

Hence, the Taliban has issued a warning to farmers. It warned of burning the farmland of farmers who produces opium, and they will be put behind the bars. In 1990 also, Afghanistan had banned the production of opium.
