New Delhi – NIA has recently submitted a supplementary charge sheet against Shahabuddin; related to a group of Islamic States called ‘Al-Hind‘. It came out from an investigation that attempts are on to make South India an Islamic Caliphate. According to information provided by the ‘Times Now’ news channel, the charge sheet mentions that terrorists of ISIS have conducted many meetings in the Sothern States Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. During which, they conspired to collect arms and ammunition required for the killings of Devout Hindu leaders and Police Officers.

Shahabuddin, age 40, was arrested in Chennai in January 2021 in connection with the murder of Special Sub-Inspector A Wilson. Shahabuddin and his accomplices used shotguns and ammunition to kill Wilson. Charge sheets were filed against six accused in the murder case.
Mehboob Pasha and Khwaja Moinuddin, residents of Gurappanpalya, Bangalore, have recruited Muslim youths from South India and established a group of ISIS called ‘Al-Hind’. The youths were trained in the jungle to kill Devout-Hindu leaders and Police Officers. Safe places in various States were chosen to shelter them after the killings. It included Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
NIA has identified the 25 suspects related to ISIS. They are in Afghanistan and after the coup there, they are trying to recruit Indians online.
