Two Al-Qaeda terrorists arrested in Uttar Pradesh

Instead of feeding the imprisoned terrorists for life, they should be tried in the Fast Track Court and given capital punishment.

Lucknow (UP) – Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) from Kakori Police Station in Uttar Pradesh raided a house from Dubagga area and arrested 2 Al-Qaeda (Al-Qaeda means the foundation or support) terrorists, Minaz and Masaruddin. A large number of explosives were confiscated from them by the Police. It is said that three terrorists escaped before the house was raided. It is being said that BJP leaders were their target. The names of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Swatantra Dev Singh (UP BJP President), Sunil Bansal were included in their list of leaders. Search campaign in that area is undertaken by the ATS. The local Police are assisting them in this search. The entire locality was cordoned off and residents of that area within 500m were asked to vacate their houses. Bomb Detector and Bomb Disposal Squads along with the Dog Squad are searching the area. The whole area has been sealed.

  1. The officer-in-charge of the ATS informed that more information would be available after completing the search. These terrorists were planning to carry out chain bomb blasts in the busy city market area. Intelligence Department and other investigating agencies are investigating this incident.
  2. The two arrested terrorists were trained by terrorist Omar Al-Mandi. They were planning all the attacks in the house of some Shahid. The ATS knew about this plot a week before. Since then, they were vigilant to notice the activities in that house. When they were raiding that house, a high alert was issued to Raebareli and Sitamarhi in the State.
