New Delhi – Indian Army is considering a proposal to study Tibetan history, culture and language to counter propaganda and spread of Chinese influence.
The Army has instructed its officers to study Tibet on both sides of the Line of Actual Control. Army Training Command (ARTRAC) is in the process of analysing the proposal. ARTRAC has identified seven institutes that offer postgraduate courses in Tibetology where army officers can go on study leave.
