Dhaka – Bangladesh has demanded an official apology from Pakistan for the 1971 Bangladesh genocide. The country’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam conveyed this to the newly appointed Pakistani Ambassador to Bangladesh, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui. During the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 Pakistani armies massacred 30 lakh Bangladeshi citizens and raped 20 thousand women.
