New Delhi – The religious fanatics have started to threaten Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, after the latter performed Shri Mahakali Puja in Kolkata. As a result, the cricketer has tendered apologies. He also said that he had just attended the function and not performed the Puja. ‘If anyone is hurt, I shall not visit hereafter’, he added.

He had received a death threat on Facebook for performing Puja in the last week. Giving into widespread criticism on social media, Shakib eventually asked for pardon.
