BJP MLA seeks to ban non-Hindus in Kedarnath

Kedarnath (Uttarakhand) – ‘Certain non-Hindu elements are allegedly attempting to harm the sanctity of Kedarnath Dham. These individuals are reportedly involved in activities such as supplying meat, fish, and alcohol, which are affecting the temple’s reputation. Plans are underway to identify such elements and impose a ban on their entry’, BJP MLA Asha Nautiyal said.

State Minister Saurabh Bahuguna recently held a meeting with officials and local residents regarding this issue, during which a demand for the ban was raised, Nautiyal said. However, Uttarakhand Congress leader Harish Rawat has opposed this proposed ban.
