A conspiracy to train ULFA terrorists and orchestrate attacks in Assam
Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence), is reportedly using Bangladesh’s territory to spread unrest in India. ISI is making efforts to destabilise India’s north-eastern region and is preparing to restart ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assam) terrorist training camps in Bangladesh. Reports suggest that ISI officials recently met ULFA leader and notorious terrorist Paresh Baruah in Bangladesh. This information has been published by ‘The Tribune.’

Some training camps have been set up in Bangladesh near Assam and other north-eastern States. These camps had been operational in the past but were shut down during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure as Prime Minister.
ISI has regained a foothold in Bangladesh and has resumed terrorist training camps under the Muhammad Yunus Government. This is part of a larger conspiracy to destabilise India’s north-eastern region.
Recently, Indian security agencies intercepted wireless messages in Arabic, Urdu, and Bengali from across the Bangladesh border. This has heightened concerns about ISI’s presence near the Bengal border. This situation poses a serious security threat to India.
Paresh Baruah’s sentence reduced
ULFA, an active terrorist group in Assam, has long been engaged in armed conflict to establish an independent Assam. Its most significant leader, Paresh Baruah, is currently in Bangladesh. Last month, a Bangladeshi Court reduced Baruah’s life sentence to 14 years.
Intelligence agencies suspect that Baruah may be acquitted soon, given the recent developments in Bangladesh. His knowledge of the Northeast could be exploited by ISI to further destabilise the region.
