Information about India’s involvement in the creation of Bangladesh truncated from Bangladesh’s history books

Article on Mujibur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina removed

 

New Delhi – Bangladesh’s interim government chief Mohammad Yunus is trying to rewrite the history of Bangladesh. Attempts are being made to suppress and deny what has happened. Yunus has attempting this because of the hatred for former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Mohammad Yunus has printed an estimated 400 million books for schools. Material related to Bangladesh’s founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter Sheikh Hasina has been removed from these books. Not only that, India’s contribution to Bangladesh’s independence because of which the very existence of Bangladesh is there, has been cut down.

1. The new books mention India’s role; however, many pictures have been removed. Sheikh Hasina’s photographs and text written about her have been completely removed from all school textbooks.

2. The content pertaining to Sheikh Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has either been removed or reduced.

3. India’s role in Bangladesh’s independence movement has been retained, but images of Indira Gandhi with Mujibur Rahman have been removed.

4. Sheikh Hasina’s message to students has been removed from the cover of the books, replaced by photographs of the uprising against her regime in July 2024.

Editorial Perspective

Bangladesh’s hatred of India is not going to stop. It needs to be made aware of India’s strength; but when will India do it is anyone’s guess.
