UP Cabinet meeting to be held at Sangam Kshetra on 16 th or 21 st of this month

All the Ministers, including the Chief Minister, to participate in ‘Snan’ (sacred bath) at the Triveni Sangam

Prayagraj – The State cabinet meeting is scheduled for January 16 th or 21 st under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Sangam Kshetra. During this occasion, all ministers, including the Chief Minister, will take a sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam. The meeting is expected to take place at the proposed bridge site on the Ganga River between Hetapatti and Daraganj. Chief Minister Adityanath has approved this location. A budgetary provision of Rs 750 crore has been allocated for the construction of this bridge, and the project is likely to receive cabinet approval during the meeting.

A similar cabinet meeting was previously held in Sangam Kshetra during the Ardha Kumbh in 2019, during which the Ganga Expressway project was approved.

A symbolic Ram Setu to be built near the Sangam

A proposal for constructing a symbolic Ram Setu between the Boat Club and Arail on the Yamuna River is under consideration. The Mayor of Prayagraj has forwarded this proposal to the State Government, and it is likely to receive approval during the upcoming cabinet meeting in Sangam Kshetra.
