The two leading economies of the world should strengthen the dialogue

Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping’s appeal to Donald Trump

Beijing (China) – Donald Trump will soon assume the post of President of the United States. On this occasion, greetings are being showered on him from all over the world. Similarly, China, which is going through an economic slowdown and the rival of the US, has also taken a cautious stance. Chinese Premier Xi Jinping congratulated Trump, saying, ‘The world’s two leading economies should make it a priority to communicate, strengthen them, and properly resolve differences. I urge China and the US to take the right path to live together in the new era.’

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said that our policy towards the US is consistent. We will continue to view and handle China-US relations based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win.

Donald Trump adopted a tough policy against China during his first term, including imposing tariffs on more than $380 billion of Chinese exports to the US.

Editorial Perspective

Since Donald Trump is anti-China, he can take a tough stance with regard to China, which is why Xi Jinping has already tried to please Trump.
