Head of Interim Government of Bangladesh Prof. Muhammad Yunus states at the United Nations

New York (USA) – “Bangladesh sympathises with Rohingyas and has been sheltering them; but our social, economic and environmental costs are increasing. Therefore, no matter how much Bangladesh engages in humanitarian aspects or ensures justice, sending the Rohingyas back to their homeland (to Myanmar) is the only permanent solution to the current crisis”, said the head of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Prof. Muhammad Yunus. Prof. Yunus is currently on tour of the US. He presented this opinion on the repatriation of Rohingyas in the high-level meeting held during the 79thUnited Nations General Assembly.

Editorial PerspectiveIt is difficult for Bangladesh to feed 10 lakh Rohingyas who are their religious brethren. Then why should India feed crores of Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators ? India should also state its opinion at the global level to send them to their homeland. |
