Cleansing of Tirupati Temple due to adulteration of prasad laddus

Panchgavya to be sprinkled along with performing Mahashanti yadnya

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) – Tirupati Balaji Temple has been cleansed after the case of prasad laddus made with animal fat was revealed. On 23rd September morning, a yadnya was performed and Panchagavya was sprinkled everywhere.

On behalf of the Tirupati Temple committee, Mahashanti yadnya was performed from morning 6 a.m. till 10 a.m. Panchgavya was sprinkled everywhere. Till afternoon, more religious purification rituals were performed. According to sources, several important persons participated in this pursuit.

Special investigation committee formed to investigate the adulteration incident

A special investigation committee is working to investigate about the adulteration of laddus. This committee will be headed by Director General of Police. The responsible individuals who misused power will also be investigated. Committee’s investigation report will be handed over to the Government. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has said that strict action will be taken against the guilty when the report comes. “Tirupati is a sacred temple. The culprit will be given such severe punishment that in the future, no one would dare commit such offences,” said Naidu.
