Minor girl gang-raped in the medical college premises at Jodhpur (Rajasthan)

Jodhpur (Rajasthan) – An incident of gang-rape of a 14-year-old minor girl has recently taken place in the premises of a medical college here. Police have arrested 2 accused in this case. Police said that both the accused were working as cleaners in the hospital on contract basis. While there is outrage in the country over the rape and murder of a young doctor at the ‘Radha-Govind’ (RG) Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, an incident of gang-rape of a minor girl has come to light in Jodhpur.

Jodhpur city has been shaken due to this incident. The opposition has strongly criticised the BJP State Government. Congress has criticised that ‘Jungle Raj’ is going on in Rajasthan.

According to the information provided by the Police, on Sunday, August 25, the victim’s daughter had a fight with her mother. After that she went to the canteen of the hospital. Upon realising that the girl was alone in the restaurant, both the accused gained her trust. They took her to the dumping yard behind the hospital. After gang-raping the victim there, both of them ran away from there. As the girl did not return home till evening, the parents filed a complaint with the Police.

Pratapnagar Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Kumar, while informing the media, said that after the complaint was filed by the girl’s parents, the Police began an investigation and found that the girl had been raped. The forensic science team has collected evidence from the crime scene. Police are conducting further investigation in this case.
