Mumbai – Malwani in Malad (West) is an area where Muslims are a majority population. Hindus from this are pressured to leave and are targeted, is the anguish expressed by Amrapali Sharma by posting a video on social media. She has also stated that Police were not taking any action despite filing complaints.

Amrapali Sharma added, “I am forced through different means to leave my flat in Malwani. Rotten meat was thrown outside my flat. I went to the Police to lodge a complaint but it was not registered by them. I am harassed to instigate me to commit suicide. Earlier, a person tried to commit suicide to avoid harassment by Muslims. The Police didn’t take any action even at that time. Several goats were slaughtered on the day of Bakri Eid in our society. Muslims run havoc in front of her flat to tyrannize her. If anyone does the same thing in front of their flats, there would be outcry of the minority population being in danger. I was advised that staying in a Muslim-dominant area was a mistake, but it is a secular country, so how can I be forced to leave Muslim-dominated area ? Don’t Hindus have a place to live in this country ? If anything happens to me in the future, this community living in this neighbourhood and targeting me, will be responsible for it.”

Editorial Perspectives

  • Hindus should note that they have already been driven out of Kashmir. Where will they go if in future, they are forced to leave different parts of the country in this manner ? Which country will give refuge to them ? Hindus need to seriously think about it and unite for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra to prevent such things from happening.
  • Stringent action should be taken against the Police by the Government for their inaction.
