Washington DC (USA) – “India has always insisted that terrorism prevents any discussion with Pakistan. Considering this, what level are the relations between the US and both India and Pakistan?” This question was posed to Vedant Patel, Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of State, during a press briefing. He responded, “We believe that any country in the world will condemn terrorism wherever it occurs. The US welcomes every country that seeks to build more positive relations with its neighbors. Ultimately, it is up to India and Pakistan to decide how they view terrorism.”
Patel further added that India is a country with which the US is strengthening relations across various sectors. Particularly, these ties are closely linked to enhancing our economic relationship.
