Ranchi (Jharkhand) – The Jharkhand High Court granted bail to former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Anchal land scam case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) first arrested revenue sub-inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad and later 13 others after launching an investigation into the illegal sale and purchase of 4.55 acres of army-held land here. Investigation revealed that these accused fraudulently transferred plots in favour of the land mafia in connivance with government officials. After this, Hemant Soren was arrested in this case. He has been in judicial custody since 31st January.
