That is why we are leaving the emergency Government today, with a heavy heart but with full confidence”, stated Benny Gantz, a minister in 3-member war cabinet of Israel, while resigning from the position. Netanyahu has asked Gantz to take back his decision. ” This is not the time to abandon the front but to participate in it, ” he said. It is said that Netanyahu’s attitude towards release of Gaza war hostages led to Gantz’s resignation.

1. Gantz invited Netanyahu to accept the common acceptance of the election results, which would allow the formation of a Government that could win people’s trust and face challenges. Protesting the policies is important, but it must be done legally. Hatred should not be encouraged. We are not each other’s enemies. Our enemies are beyond our borders.

2. Former Chief of Staff Gantz is seen as the main political opponent of Netanyahu in Israel. Before participating in the war cabinet, he was the main member of the opposition. On 7^th October 2023, immediately after Hamas’ attack, he joined Netanyahu’s Government.
