Karnataka Congress Minister K N Rajanna’s statement
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – “What happened after pro-Pakistan slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were raised in the assembly ? Did it affect Congress’ reputation ? Our image was enhanced. (Congress’ unashamed response ! – Editor). Those raising pro-Pakistan slogans should be shot dead. There is no two ways about it”, stated K N Rajanna, Congress leader and Karnataka Minister. The Karnataka assembly resounded with ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans after Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain was elected to the Rajya Sabha. Till now, 3 individuals have been arrested. BJP is demanding that the newly elected Rajya Sabha member Syed Naseer Hussain should also be named in the FIR. They also requested Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar not to administer the oath to Hussain until the enquiry was over.
Rajanna had earlier supported the bulldozer action of the UP Government against illegal constructions. He said that law and order were maintained in a State like Uttar Pradesh with such a large population using bulldozers against encroachers and criminals. If this is how they have solved the law-and-order issue, then we would not oppose it. (Why Congress does not implement this in the States it governs ? – Editor).
