Mizoram student organisation threatens Manipur CM
Imphal (Manipur) – ‘If you (the Manipur Government) expel any Mizo or tribal person from Manipur, we will also expel all Meiteis living in Mizoram,’ threatened the Mizo Students’ Union (MSU). This threat was a response to Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s statement on 12th February, declaring that ‘Everyone who entered Manipur after 1961 will be identified and expelled from the State, irrespective of their caste or community.’ The student leader stated that a comprehensive list of all Meiteis living in Mizoram has also been prepared.
