Case registered against Syed
Kalburgi (Karnataka) – The City Police have registered a suo moto case against a 23-year-old youth for posting comments supporting Babri mosque and promoting enmity between different religious groups. The accused has been identified as Syed Moin Faisal, a resident of Iqbal Colony in Kalburagi. On 21st January, a day before the pranapratishtha of Shriram Temple in Ayodhya, the youth posted derogatory comments on social media supporting Babri mosque. He posted, “One day, we will reconstruct Babri mosque at the same place.”
The Raghavendra Nagar Police have traced the details of the accused and registered the suo moto case under IPC Section 153(A) for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and under Sections 295, 295(A) for deliberate and malicious acts that are intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religious beliefs.
