Anti-Hindu statement of the lawyer who represented Muslim litigants in Ayodhya case
New Delhi – Rajeev Dhavan, a Senior Advocate who represented the Sunni Waqf Board and other Muslim groups in the Shriram Janmabhoomi land dispute case was recently interviewed by an English news channel. He stated that “Nobody is against the temple, but we oppose its politicisation. We are gradually moving towards a Hindu Rashtra.”
It is against the Constitution and its politicisation disregards diversity – Dhavan
Dhavan added, “It is against the Constitution. Our country believes in diversity, but the politicisation of this matter disregards diversity. The State has contributed finance for the construction of the Shriram Temple. Nripendra Mishra was a Government officer. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Shriram Temple construction committee.”
Dhavan accuses Hindus of using ‘Jai Shriram’ slogan as a weapon
Dhavan also objected to the use of the ‘Jai Shriram’ slogan. He said, “When I used to enter the Court to plead for clients, slogans of ‘Jai Shriram’ used to be raised in the Court. The security staff once saved me from the attack in the Court. I do not want to reiterate the issues. Nobody has objection to raising the slogan of ‘Jai Shriram’ but why should it be used as a weapon ? (Hindus express their love and respect for Hindu Dharma through the slogan of ‘Jai Shriram’. This advocate who represented those who commit violence across the world while raising slogans of ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ (Allah is the greatest), has exhibited his mental level by accusing Hindus in this manner. – Editor)
