Ottawa (Canada) – Until now, Hindu temples were targeted and vandalised by the Khalistanis in Canada. Along with these slogans were being written against India, Hindus and Narendra Modi but now in a shocking incident, Khalistani terrorists reportedly targeted Satish Kumar, the president of Shri Lakshminarayan Temple in Surrey, Canada on 27th December. The attackers shot at least 14 rounds of fire at the house of Kumar’s son. No casualties were reported in this firing. Last month, Shri Lakshminarayan Temple protested against Khalistanis. This is said to have caused the firing; however, it is not yet clear who fired this shot. Police are investigating the attack.

Satish Kumar told India Today that his son’s house was attacked and at least 14 shots were fired at it. No one was hurt in the shooting, but the house was damaged by bullet holes. “I can’t say whether (the attack) was by Khalistanis or some extortionist. Police are investigating the case,” said Kumar, adding that the temple was also targeted by alleged Khalistani activists in the past.

As reported earlier, the Khalistani elements harassed the Hindu devotees outside Shri Lakshminarayan Temple in Surrey in Canada on 27th November 2023, prompting the Hindu community to respond with a peaceful counter-protest.

Editorial Perspective

Looking at the overall situation in Canada, there is no doubt that the Khalistanis are responsible for this. If this turns out to be true, then India should force Canada to take action against the Khalistanis by presenting this issue more strongly to the world.
