Police issue notice to Islamic organisations that give Halal Certification
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – The Lucknow Police have issued a notice to the 4 Islamic organisations that give Halal Certification after a case was registered against them. The Police have asked them to submit the test reports of the examinations that are done in their laboratories and also any other papers about the certification process. Police have set up 2 teams to investigate these cases. The cyber cell too has been activated in this case. After BJP Yuva Morcha District Vice–President Shailendra Sharma filed a case against the Halal Certification, the Police have begun the investigations in the case.
They are also examining the Halal-certified items that are in the shops
Police have begun examining ‘halal certified’ toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, oil, cake, biscuits, tea powder, sugar etc in some districts of the State. The cyber cell is tracking the online platform selling these products and the online customers that are buying these products. The cyber cell has been instructed to gather information about those who sell and buy these products. Joint Commissioner (Law and Order) Upendra Kumar Agarwal said that the investigation about the organisations funding of these organisations. Further action will be taken after the investigation.
There is a maximum sale of grains and attar (perfume) online
Lucknow’s Hazratganj Police Station’s Inspector Vikram Singh said, that the primary investigation shows, that the maximum online sale is for attar (perfume) and grains. The cyber cell is investigating the matter. The dealers and shopkeepers of these products are being interrogated. Action will be taken hereafter. The food, security and administration departments are also investigating the shops.
