Aligarh (UP) – Dharam Singh, a Hindu youth, who loved a Muslim girl was converted by her family and renamed Mohammad Abdul Rahman after conversion. The victimised Hindu youth has alleged that he was given an intoxicating substance and, in that condition, he was circumcised and later converted. Thereafter, the sub-Inspector of Police has given orders that the matter be investigated.
The victim Dharam Singh told the Police, that he loved a Muslim girl from his village. Under the pretext of discussing their marriage they called him to the girl’s house. The girl’s sister-in-law gave him a Ladoo to eat. Through it, they drugged him and forced him to be circumcised. Later they threatened him and said as he was circumcised, he had to convert. He opposed it so the girl’s family registered a complaint against him of outraging the modesty.
BJP’s Former Mayor Shakuntala Bharati has demanded a detailed enquiry into the matter.
